STUDENTS, GROUPS & ORGANIZATIONS...
Would you like to tour the KNME studios?
High school students learn about the many jobs in television and the skills required. Civic and social organizations gain an understanding of the television industry and how a program gets to your home.
Minimum age for tours is ten. Maximum group size is 25.

N.M. In Focus Immigration Panel Discussion
Wednesday, June 14th from 5:30-7:30pm
KNME, with KUNM and The New Mexico Independent, will host an immigration panel discussion with Rep. Dennis Kintigh, R-Roswell, who is a former FBI special agent; Marcela Diaz, an immigrant-rights advocate with Somos Un Pueblo Unido; and Dante DiGregorio, a professor at UNM's Anderson School of Management who specializes in business relations between the U.S. and Mexico.

Jim Lehrer visits Albuquerque

Over 200 people attended a special reception with Jim Lehrer, Executive Editor and Anchor of the PBS Newshour and author at Los Poblanos on Monday May 3rd. This private reception was for KNME donors, corporate underwriters, and business leaders. Jim Lehrer discussed the PBS Newshour, his career, and his new novel Super. Super is an intriguing mystery that takes place on the Santa Fe railroad's famous Super Chief. This event was part of a cross-country tour with Jim Lehrer, visiting PBS stations while promoting his 20th novel.

Sesame Street Workshop CEO visits Albuquerque
Gary Knell, President and CEO of Sesame Workshop, was in Albuquerque to attend several KNME events including a reception for donors, a luncheon with corporate underwriters, and a breakfast with business leaders.
Attendees had the opportunity to find out how Sesame Workshop is using the power of media – and the power of Muppets – to increase the odds that all children reach their highest potential, and in so doing, make a better world for us all.
