Would you like to tour the KNME studios?
High school students learn about the many jobs in television and the skills required. Civic and social organizations gain an understanding of the television industry and how a program gets to your home.
Minimum age for tours is ten. Maximum group size is 25.

KNME Education and Outreach staff set up a booth during Children's Cabinet
Days at the state capitol during the opening of the 2010 legislative
session.
We talked to legislators and the public about KNME early childhood
and teacher support programs and handed out loads of materials.
The television set up in the booth showed several US Senators talking with Elmo about healthy habits and video tapes of KNME programs like Science Crawl.
KNME Science CafÉ: Sleep and Memory
December 19th
Nearly forty people attended the Science Café at Madeleine’s Place in Corrales. There was lively discussion as Dr. Lee Brown disagreed with the theory proposed by the NOVA science NOW program that there is a direct connection between sleep and memory. Dr. Brown engaged the audience with the current scientific thinking and arguments on both sides of the question.

In 1898, two city slickers, Bert Phillips and Ernest Blumenschein, leave New York to head West. It’s not long before their muscles are aching, and their wagon wheels are breaking.

NATIONAL PARKS PREVIEW SCREENING

Over 170 people attended the preview screening of Ken Burns' The National Parks: America’s Best Idea.
Participants had a chance to preview the 12-hour series at this event at the NM History Museum.
